BLOCK & TACKLE'S 1940'S DAY

The Block and Tackle in Ashington held a 1940's day in aid of fallen Fusiliers. On the day they had rations from the war for people to try, koast radio were there doing a live broadcast, volunteers from Blyth battery came along with some of their displays from the war and the 5th battalion of the fusiliers came to give us some challenges.

Also there was a singer Ruby Barnett and dancers Ikandies who also gave us a song, residents from a local care home came along and it was brilliant watching them enjoy the day.
